Amber damp cloth and dry or warm water-detergent can also be used Amber is an organic gem, a fossilized, hardened form of resin from ancient pine trees.
Amethyst warm water-detergent, soft brush Amethyst is sometimes heat treated to bring out its purple color. Can possibly crack or fade in too high of temperatures.
Aquamarine warm water-detergent and soft brush Aquamarine (blue-beryl) can be heat treated to bring out its blue color. Too high heat can cause fading of this stone.
Diamond ammonia based cleaner, warm water (grease cutting) detergent-soft brush Diamonds are restored to brilliamce when oils or grease are removed from their surface. Heat is not a problem.
Emerald warm water-detergent and soft brush Emeralds are treated with an oil to help with breakage and color. Ultra Sonic and Steaming Cleaners are to be completely avoided.
Garnet warm water-detergent and soft brush Garnets are heat sensitive but for the most part are tough stones.

Topaz warm water-detergent and soft brush Topaz is very senstive to vibration and heat. Ultra Sonic and Steam Cleaners must be avoided.
